Kota Kinabalu, Tuesday -- Chocolate Cake will always be the number one favourite at my home. I made a chocolate cake for our sweet treats. It will not last for long, and if you not fast enough than you will only had a piece of this cake.

Vanilla cupcake with buttercream frosting to be shared with a few friends. Cute and yet very sweat treats with compliment with sugar-free Tea and gossiping....what can I say...

I had an order for a birhday cake last week. Thanks a millions for the order and hope she loves it & her son really likes transformer...

Last weekend, I made Fluffy cheesy cake for my family sweet treats. Somebody even do some possing with this simple cake....

Carrot Cake (Kek Karot)

Myvusak nak minta maaf banyak-banyak untuk member-member yang ada 'request' resepi Carrot Cake hari tu. Bila dah buka blog ini senanglah sikit untuk myvusak kongsikan resepi-resepi untuk semua 'member-member'. Senang je, buat kek ini. Jika tak faham, bolehlah hantar komen, myvusak akan cuba bantu ok, selamat mencuba dan merasa....

Bahan-bahannya:

1 cawan walnut (dipanggang dan cincang kasar)

2 1/2 cawan karot (dikisar halus)

2 cawan tepung gandum (diayak)

1 sudu teh Baking Soda

1 1/2 sudu teh serbuk penaik

1/2 sudu teh garam

1 1/2 sudu teh serbuk kayu manis (Cinnamon)

4 biji telur (gred A)

1 1/2 cawan gula halus

1 cawan minyak kanola (minyak jagung pun orait juga)

2 sudu teh vanilla extract

Caranya:

Perkara pertama, perlu panaskan ketuhar/oven dan set pada suhu 180 degrees C.

Lepas tu, sediakan bekas pembakar kek, sapu dengan butter dan lapiskan dasarnya dengan kertas kek.

Satukan dalam sebuah bekas, tepung, baking soda, serbuk penaik, garam dan kayu manis.

Dalam bekas yang lain, pukul telur hingga kembang dan berkrim (1 minit). Masukkan gula secara berkala dan pukul sehingga pekat (3-4 minit). After that, masukkan minyak perlahan dari tepi bekas tadi diikuti dengan vanilla. Campuran tadi dipukul lagi sehingga sebati.

Then, masukkan walnut dan karot tadi serta digaul menggunakan spatula atau sudu kayu.

Bila dah sebati bolehlah dituang dalam bekas pembakar dan masuklah kat oven. Bakar dalam tempoh 25 hingga 30 minit atau guna 'toothpick' cucuk di tengah kek, jika dikeluarkan bersih maka, masaklah sudah...bolehlah diangkat dan disejukkan... bila dah sejuk bolehlah dihias dengan Lemon Cream Cheese.

Langsir baru juga berubah warna untuk memberi wajah yang lebih luas dan terang pada dapur myvusak. Maklumlah, dapur kecil sangat, but, jika di susun dan dikemas dengan baik, rasa sangat selesa dan dapur adalah tempat yang paling best sekali bagi myvusak.

Selepas ini, bolehlah myvusak kongsikan resepi-resepi dan apa-apa saja lah yang difikirkan ingin diceritakan.

Poring Hot Springs For A Family Outing

Another trip to Ranau, Sabah again. Bringing the kids, which their Aunty had promised to them for swimming in Poring. Along the way, we stop over to a few places, for the local fruits...durians...duku, langsat... We reached Poring around noon time, but that doesn't stop the kids to jumped and played in the pool. Every where I saw parents, senior citizens, children, teenage, and even a Tour Guide bringing and explaining the tourist, well such a heavy crowd in Poring on that particular day. I can say that this is a good spot for a family outing cause everybody can have the credit from this area, where the kids and young people enjoying the water, swimming while the adult and senior citizen enjoying the fresh air from the forest, they just soak their feet with the spring's hot water.

Actually, Poring Hot Spring is situated 40 kilometers (25 miles) slightly northeast from the Kinabalu Parks HQ in the district of Ranau, Poring is situated in lowland rainforest, contrasting with the montane and submontane rainforest of Kinabalu National Park. The name Poring comes from a Kadazandusun word for a bamboo species found in the area. De-stress and soak away the sores and aches of your muscles in the spring’s hot sulphuric minerals, deemed to have healing properties and very popular among the locals.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

I realised that I haven't visit my own blog for quite sometime. So, I might consider, I'm on the road again. Well, I can give million accuses and it's definely the word busy will be the first reason. I am very much busy for these few months in helping other unit organising a Seminar for a Young Married Couples. It was quite a successful Seminar which we held in the rural area in Kota Marudu.

Apart from that official business, family business is mostly controlling my time, with children going for school. I can tell that I never had my peace and relaxing weekend. Yep...you are right! organise the time wisely, no matter how tight schedule we are during our free time, there always be the time for you and your hobby...

Right...and just last night I made a Blueberry Cake...and it was so good and yummy. My daughter brings some to share with her friends in school. I posted in my FB about my cake, if anyone would love to try it...can also order it from me. Sharing u the pic, but it's not to clear using my ages mobile phone camera...poor image.

My Weekend

Spending time with family and relative would be the most fun and enjoying moment.We had our afternoon break last weekend with family and relatives. Well, it's not planned at all and just a phone call on the day itself.

We have our tea break cum picnic like next to the fish pond. While enjoying the nature and the heat of the evening sun, we've shared stories, problems and jokes. While the rest also trying their luck in fishing.

Spending time like this really makes you feel relax and release from any tension. You could heard loud laughter all of a suddent and it's really shows we are enjoying our time.

No matter what age range you are, it won't stop you from having your good time with others and enjoying the nature. Take every apportunity you have to relax your mind and soul. No matter how busy you are, never forget to give way for yourself to get together with family and relatives. Even my young kids can relate how happy they are that time, I believe you also as an adult can experience the same.

Even it was a short meeting, it sure gives a valuable memories to treasure and share to others. My appointed photographer Ms. Melissa (possing with her big hat) have taken every moment of this event.

Wait For My Turn

I spent my entire lunch hour for "waiting". Yes, waiting for my turn. I'm in a line waiting for my turn to pay for some bills. As everyone ever experience, waiting in a long period would be the most suffering moment. We can't avoid such practice in our daily life.

I remember when I was a kid, I've been told to wait for my turn just to get my present/gift, to take my shower, to get in the car, to play with toys and etc. Until, now my daily life, I am actually in the same situation...wait for my turn.

Everyone has to wait for their turn. Myself or you will get a chance to be the first (so lucky), to be in the middle or to be the last. What we can do is trying hard to be patient while waiting for our turn.

"Money" well, I can't excuse myself for not thinking about money. The moment I got off from home to work, it's definitely worth of money. I mean my petrol for car need $$. Almost everything we do it has a cost. Money for my breakfast, lunch, my kids in school, air cons, light, computer, drinks, sweets, clothes, shoes, and almost everything it has a value of money.

I have a long chat with my friend about can we make money online. She introduce me something about blogs that paid when we post. Very interesting, rather than, I wrote here and doesn't worth me any singgle cent. I should lean more on this topic, cause needs to understand the terms, how it's works, the traffic in my blogs. Poor myself, cause, only me visiting my own blogs..funny lah..

A PRAYER ON MY BIRTHDAY

Today...October, 21 and it's my birthday. What a surprised, a bouquet of flower I've received just now in my office. Sender, my hubby and kids. I felt so special and being so much in loved by them. The wording attached to the flower - "May God enriched you with every goodness, happiness, success and best of health always, thank you for being a wonderful person as a wife and mummy to us" . Pix of the flower they sent to me.

My prayer on my birthday: May all the good, safe, healthy, success, happiness, wonderful, joyful, luckily, beautiful, love, care, peace and nice thing happen to me will continue forever and ever and may those wonderful people by my side and around me share the same thing with me. Amen.

Unplanned Trip To Tambunan/Keningau/Tenom

Last Sunday we have unplanned trip to Tambunan/Keningau/Tenom. My hubby just testing his 4WD vehicles until we reach Tenom. I never been to Tenom so, it will be my first visit to that place. Just a short round of the Town and also make a short view of the Pusat Kebudayaan Murut. On the way we stop by at TVRC Tambunan, trying out the Jambatan Gantung, until my daughter dropped her slipper in the river.

Just sharing the pix below on our way back home, from Keningau. They called "Sinalau", and to me it means, BBQ of wild Pigglet from the forest/junggle.

It's a durian seasons in Sabah now, so anyone who loves durian can see a lot of people selling durians along the way. I've eaten so much already...durian...durian...durian...until I felt like fever.

School Hari Raya holiday

My kids started their school again this week. After a week break for Hari Raya holiday, school reopen again this week. And...the mummy also will be starting her busy life from waking, sending, picking, driving, arquing, commenting, shouting, and everything the ting...ting...ting in the world managing the kids. Oh dear...what a life but my kids are my life actually.

A child needs a role model not a super model"-Astrid Alauda, on the 'hot mom' trend. Well, I don't look like supermodel and I can't judge myself as a role model for my daughters either. "Change your thinking to change your life" - the words I found in the website. It's something to do with healthy product. Forgot what's the website all about, but only the theme sticking in my mind. Trying to understand, composing and refreshing in my mind whether this words are really practical for me. Looking at the positive sight, I'm pretty agree with this words because, if I want success and a change in our life for a better one, I may need to change the way I am thinking. Should have a positive thinking to really struggle for changing life. And, if I choose to think negatively, than the answer also change my life in the other way against it.

Living in this world is a challenging life. Sometime I figure it out as the winners always win and the loser always lost. Except, if this world is so kind and we can have a win-win situation. Than, there will be no loser and everyone is a winner. Just like Vince AF1 said "tiada pengalah, semua pemenang".

Back to the words, change your thinking to change life - than I may need to start somewhere so, I can enjoy life and living in the better way and better place.

For a start, as you can see that I am still struggling...ha...ha... to learn and practicing to decorate my ugly cake and sharing the outcome for easy viewing only.

Birthday and Birthday again…

My mummy birthday’s party last Saturday, and my job is preparing for desert and also my mummy birthday cake. So do my best, even I’m totally not a professional and not in this line. I love and it’s becoming my hobby for baking. I prepared cupcakes as usual, banana pie, some pudding and cashew nuts slices. And, the birthday cake, as u can see, a simple birthday cake for my mom. She’s turn 64 years old on 9th August this year. She’s the great mom and an happy go lucky person.

And, next on Sunday my daughters were invited for a birthday’s party, well another birhtday's party, of their friends. The birthday's girl mommy Benardette called me for the birthday, actually their daddy was my ex-boss Mr. T. My girls really enjoy in the party, when I came to pick them, still in the pool playing. Even begging to give her extra time to stay longer. What a party…got pool party lah…during my time in the kampong, where I live, I only have river and also the “Kerbau” swim around…ha..ha…

Learning To Care Elderly People

It has been quite sometime I haven’t write something in my blog. Pretty busy with life and office work. So, today trying to update all the event I had during my absent. It’s more on my pleasure and for family members (not a member of blog) following these blog.

Learning to care an elderly people is not as easy as learning to care for young children. Even an adult, may need their heart and mind to understand an elderly people when it’s come to care for them. Because, elderly people are more sensitive and more stressful than we ever imagine. Becoming old has prohibited them from doing their normal acitivities, some may be too weak to move, some may be have an absent minded, some may be have problem with their sight or hearing. So, it is not easy to become old. Well, everyone are marching towards that ends also.

What makes me thinking about elderly people? Very good question, coz, I’m so lucky to have the apportunity taking this picture of my son with his grandmother. I reaches home from work that evening, and I saw my son playing with his bicycle in the garage, while his grandmother sitting watching at him. Actually, the daddy saw this event, and I quickly took photo. The daddy said, I am wondering why our son, suddenly stop cycling and staring at his grandmother. Than, he got off from the bicycle and walk toward his grandmother. He, then trying to button his grandmother's blause. My son is only 2 years and 11 months, he hardly know how to button his own clothes. But, yet showing his caring for his grandmother by helping her to button her clothes. It took him so long to button until I help him to do so. But yet, his grandmother still gave him a credit by saying “pandai” means he is clever enough to button the clothes.

Cupcake recipe

Sharing this recipe with everyone. My sister Jane has been asking for the recipe and my colleaque also ask for it. I normally used this recipe for my basic cupcake, coz it's very easy.

Cupcakes

Ingredient:
125g butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup (150g) caster sugar
3 eggs
1 ½ cups(225g) self-raising flour
¼ cup (60ml) milk

Methods:
Heat over 180º, line 2 deep hole baking tray with paper cases.
Beat butter, extract, sugar, eggs, flour and milk in small bowl of electric mixer on low speed until ingredients are just combined. Increase speed to medium, beat about 3 minutes or until mixture is smooth and pale in colour. Drop slightly rounded tablespoons of mixture into paper cases; bake for about 20 minutes. Turn cakes onto wire racks, turn top-side up to cool.

Just a short break

I'm just coming back from a short break. Just spending time with my son and relaxing my mind. Feeling tired over work, seminar, functions, school children and..so on.., so just a short break. Still can't get away from school children ... from sending and fethching them., but, my son really enjoy following me up and down. Having late breakfast with fried noodles and me enjoying my Teh-C. I didn't realise my daughter playing with my handphone and taking photo.

What a busy weekend

Kota Kinabalu, I am attending a Southeast Asia Psychology Conference (SEAP 2009) starting on July 9, 2009 to July 11, 2009. Something to learn on Psychology Industries. Thinking Psycho... we may be digesting it as people with psychological problem. But, actually it's a manner of study and psychology studies covers every part of our life, childhood, older people, students, economy, and many more.

From a conference to a wedding. That's why I said a busy weekend for me, cause finishing the conference at noon on Saturday...than rush to a wedding invitation in Menggatal. It's my husband relatives. Congrats to the newly married couple, David & spouse. May they have many many kids and many many experience.

One more...in the evening... we have BBQ at home, and guess what my dearest Francis(hubby) prepared for dinner? Tradisional dish 'Hinava"... the chili decorated by my sister in-law, just for the pix. The tastes, of course, up to your satisfactions if you have a chance to taste it. To me, it's delicious and tasty.

Creating sea shell in a colourful and shining way, definetely needs talent and creativity. She has her passion in doing it. We can see from the pix, designing a rafflesia flower and also a butterfly. Baking series….

Kota Kinabalu, -- This is only an extension series of my baking project. Filling my time at home with some baking activities. Anyway, it’s part of my practicing and experiencing of using icing and fondant icing. I know, I may need more practice and be more creative in designing and decorating the cakes. If you ask me for a piece of cakes…well, I only had a piece of it cause the rest finished by my kids and nephews. Pix for your viewing pleasure only.

Kota Kinabalu, -- Baking becoming one of my hobbies. When baking something and it's turn out to be almost perfect, what a smile in a face. I love baking cake. I love to see beautiful decorated cake. But, I don't have the talent to decorate the cake I baked. Anyway, you can see some of the cakes in the pix that I have taken which I baked them myself. Chocolate cake with almond, Butter cake with durian paste.

And...last night I made cup cakes for my kids. Oh dear, what a mess, they can't wait for the icing so, just do the droping icing for the pix. I am still practicing for baking and decorating the cakes. Will show off in this blog again for the next series of my baking.

Kota Kinabalu, Tues. June 23, 2009 -- On my way driving to work this morning, I saw a little girl holding her daddy's hand. A very emotional things for me to view. Remembering Father's Day last sunday June 21, it makes me recalls memories of my late Father. Only a memories and love still alive in my heart and mind and that is the only treasure that I have from him.
I love this song cause it's make me cry and I hope you'll enjoy listening...

Children’s creativity day

Kota Kinabalu, Mon. June 22, 2009 -- During my childhood, I love creating and designing something. I did a small house from a paper boxes, creating a card with creative design, making a document folder and etc. I am still remember my friend's birthday, when I am in primary four, I gave her a house made from tissue boxes as a gift for her cause I don't have enough saving to buy her present. In return, she also gave me a birthday card which she designed herself on my birthday. Down memory lane...?? Even now, I can apply my hand making craft for my pen/pencils holder, paper tray , coins box and so on. Actually, it’s very interesting thing to do as an hobby.

My children joins the creativity day after church last Sunday. They really enjoy it, and showing their creative basket made from a mineral bottle plastic. It is an enjoying and fun things to do if the whole family joining hand creating something together.

For example, creating a toys house from a paper box. It’s a whole family effort to design, create and beautify the toys house. Come, let’s do it at home together, cause I am going to have it together with my children and their daddy also.

Gardening…great activity

Tuaran, Thurs. June 11, 2009 – Gardening would be a great activity for the family. Imagine whatever we plant in the garden, grow and grow as what we want it to be. And, when we grow vegetables, we can enjoy the revenue. Even more, we can share them with the others. My sister very much proud of her vegetable garden, which she initiate together with her hardworking husband and sons. She plants mostly local vegetables such as “sayur ubi”, “sayur manis”, “kangkung” and etc.

My aunts and cousin, enjoying themselves in the garden. I’m not sure, my cousin is helping in plucking the veges or just do some possing for the gallery. They really enjoying themselves in the garden and encourage others to do the same. My sister’s even suggested, for me to plant vegetables in my backyards. Well, I did already but actually to be honest, my servant did it ha..ha…now I have small vegetables garden, in my backyard with some “cili padi”, “pokok kasturi”, “serai”, “sayur manis” and some forgot the names.

Journey to share love & joy

Sandakan, Saturday June 6, 2009 -- Giving and sharing are beautiful things to experience. Chances for joining a group of people to go and reach people with disabilities and also elderly folks are very much unforgettable experience.

Flying to Sandakan on Friday, would be my first time to visit Sandakan. Well, thanking the organizer for the cozy and beautiful sea views room from the hotel. Taking picture of the sea view from the hotel room, will never be missed out for the gallery. On the first day, exploring from shop to shop, not knowing what to search for. May be just to find out what is the difference between Sandakan shops and the shops where I came from.

When visiting Sandakan, they said, don’t forget to dine in Ocean King Seafood Restaurant. Definitely a place to dine on my first day in Sandakan which accompany by my husband’s family friend. Even though they will not advice to publish their picture but, some one will not mind to be a model for it, my daughter.

It’s the day that everyone looking for. The main reason for the visit to Sandakan. The first visit to the centre for children with disabilities. Expressing the feeling is out of word. Apart from joy and happy that we are welcoming by them, touching the heart of every guest seeing their smile and warm welcome. Chances to hold a 3 years old boy with down syndrome a very much a touching heart. Deep in the heart, only a pray that God will give them love, joy, protection, healthy and everything that they can’t search for themselves. But, most of all they are very happy that day, we are very happy and the social workers are also very happy that shows in the picture.

Next, elderly people. We are welcoming with the same approach. We saw grandfather and grandmother were patiently waiting for us in the hall. Amazing things, they wear the same blue batik shirt. What a wonderful dress-up. We share out joy and fun with them where we have a karaoke and dance with the elderly people. One grandpa, are still very much sporting. We can see he never disappoint the guess and would dance along when invited. After the session, we also pay a visit to bed-ridden elderly people and have a chat with them while giving out gift.

As our head said, we should be very happy and be thankful for what we are and what we have. We pity those who have the disabilities and also who left out from the families. And we are very much agree with the statement.

Hoping there will be more people out there, to have a good heart to share the joy, love and caring with those unfortunate people. We can’t depend on the authority most of the time to take care of these people. The kindness and wonderful communities like us also have the responsible to share the joy, love and caring that we have in this world.

So…a journey to a place where everyone can share…..

Celebrating Kaamatan

Kiwatu Villa, -- 2nd day of Kaamatan, my family celebrating Kaamatan Festival at my big sister’s house at Kiwatu. When I reaches their, a lot of my family members were having their lunch. I met my cousins, Bibi, which arrives a day before from Miri, Sarawak. She will be having a second baby soon. Congrats to her in advance. During that day also, we are celebrating my cousins, Gory, 12th wedding anniversary. Wow,.. so much with the celebration. Well, you can see the pix of them, having fun, karaoke, dance, and not forgetting the drinking sessions…ha…ha…

I used to watch my friends and strangers blogs. Blogging is very much popular nowadays, it allows people to interact with each other. I’m not very familiar with blogs, so l did some surveying and reading from others blogs. It’s very interesting on how people make use of their blogs. They can share photo, video, experience, joyful, sadness, and so on.
I realize it’s a very good spot also to keep on track for family members that live away from us. So, they know what is going on at home. Also, it is a good place to share hobbies and people with children that they can share ideas and thought of raising their own children. That is why, it’s a place to explore inner thoughts, while sharing them with the rest of the world
